INTERNATIONAL LINKAGES & COLLABORATIONS
 Free Education in Top European & Asian Universities

Hajvery University (HU) has been selected as a partner university from Pakistan to contribute effectively in the consortium of Top 20 universities from Europe and Asia region. Now students of HU can choose to study abroad for one semester, a whole year or - for a full degree in any of the top European or Asian universities. All the cost of studies including travel, boarding and lodging, medical insurance, visa costs etc would be covered by the European Commission.

 
   

Hajvery University is the only university of Pakistan to have such diverse bilateral ties with top universities around the world. The credits earned during the time of studies at Hajvery University are accepted and recognized globally. A student may transfer its credits any time during its studies to any university around the globe. The Office of Foreign Affairs and Planning at HU can also assist and counsel the students who are planning to go abroad in purist of higher education.

 

 

The Erasmus Mundus - External Cooperation Windows (EMECWs) offer a unique higher education institutional cooperation frame and training opportunities relevant to the skilled manpower needs of the targeted regions and the EU. Thus, EMECW students and academic staff benefit from the opportunity to study, teach and research in Europe and abroad while the participating universities raise their capacities, build pole of expertise and gain international visibility.

   

Erasmus Mundus is a project funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window programme. It is designed to foster co-operation in the field of higher education between the European Union and Third-countries through a mobility scheme addressing student and academic exchanges. Erasmus Mundus is a consortium of 10 European universities and 10 universities from Afghanistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, and Indonesia.
The project will grant round 260 scholarships to students and academic staff. Types of mobility to be funded are undergraduate, Master, Doctorate and Post-doctorate as well as academic staff exchanges for the purposes of teaching, practical training and research.

   

   

Duration of Scholarship:

   

The PhD scholarships (34 months) offer a wonderful opportunity to expand your research capacity with external funding as do the postdoctoral scholarships and staff exchanges. The bachelor and master scholarships are an opportunity for HU students to study abroad for one semester, a whole year or for a full degree.

 
Funding:
   

The project is well funded by the European Union. It provides Undergraduate and Graduate students with all travel expenses and medical insurance as well as a monthly allowance of 1000 EURO. PhD students receive 1500 EURO monthly and postdoctoral researchers receive 1800 EURO monthly and visiting staff 2500 EURO monthly for the duration of their stay in Europe.

Objectives of the External Cooperation Windows
 
The main overall objectives of this mobility scheme are:
  • To enhance the international cooperation capacity of universities in Third-countries by facilitating transfer of know-how and good practices in the field of student and academic staff mobility.

 
  • To promote cooperation between sending and hosting institutions, thus mutually enriching the educational environment of both the hosting and sending institutions in the European and Third-countries.

 
  • To enable students to benefit linguistically, culturally and educationally from the experience of pursuing academic studies in another country.

 
  • To improve the transparency and recognition of studies and qualifications.

 
  • To contribute to providing good students with further education and the dissemination of professional development and empowerment for leadership, thus contributing to the dissemination of European Union social and democratic values.

 
  • To enhance the skills and qualifications of foreign higher education staff so that they can contribute actively towards improvement of quality and pertinence, to university research, to changes in system governance and to innovation of higher education through an institution-based visiting teacher exchange system.

 
  • To build the capacity of the administration and public and private sector by participation of their staff in higher education mobility activities (especially through doctorate and post-doctorate activities).

 
  • To enhance in the medium term the political, cultural, educational and economic links between the European Union and Third-countries.

 
  • To stimulate entrepreneurship, good governance and leadership skills. Internships are also offered as part of a study period abroad program.

 
Specific Objective:  

The Erasmus Mundus - External Cooperation Windows are designed to foster institutional cooperation in the field of higher education between the European Union and Third-countries through a mobility scheme addressing student and academic exchanges for the purpose of studying, teaching, training and research.

 
The types of mobility and education to be funded in this Call are:

• Students: undergraduate, master, doctorate and post-doctorate mobility opportunities

• Academic staff: exchanging for the purposes of teaching, practical training and research.
